My favorite spot to relax is by the lake. I love observing the movements of the water on a sunny day. In a way, it helps me clear my mind and think ahead of what I want out of this life and ways of making my dreams come true. I find my time spent by the lake as a therapy that helps me regroup and also inspires me to continue on my journey.

Re: Blue Skies Contest Submission

Clear your mind and think ahead of what you want out of life. Very important things those are. Very scenic. Calm and peaceful. I had a place like that on an old railroad bridge over the Tennessee River...saw my future there once...and I will never forget it. Very lovely Olesea!

Dog's life...

Great photo! The dog makes sense here ... some people think they are lonely ... what about dogs? In this photo the dog si the meditator...

Re: Blue Skies Contest Submission

I think this picture is phenomenal!! The fact that it is black and white adds to it as well. It really looks like the guy has a lot on his mind, and sure enough he has "man's best friend" there to help him get through it. The lighting is amazing...just a great photograph all around.

Re: Blue Skies Contest Submission

it is a beautiful photo. going back and white was a great idea, it makes the figures pop against the lake. there is a nice balance of extreme light and dark. if i had not read the paragraph under the photo, i may have questioned what mood the man was in- his head hangs low and there is no movement as man's best friend sits by. this is a beautiful piece, it should be in a gallery.

Re: Blue Skies Contest Submission

i loved the picture!
the lake, the sky
they're so calm and clear
makes me really wanna go there and take a look at it myself
I want to sit there and feel what makes that scenery so speacial to you
and maybe, sit there, peacefully, by myself and look towards my future too
hoping to find the answer on that calm and relaxing lake
again,
loved the picture

Re: Blue Skies Contest Submission

Very contemplative.....Like Stas F said, I like that the dog is looking out for the man and that the man trusts the dog to do so. I also noticed that the dog and the man are about the same height; was that on purpose? Awesome as always, :)

Re: Blue Skies Contest Submission

Very peaceful and serene; my blood pressure drops when I view the photo. It does emit a tone of sadness, especially being done in black and white, although that ensures that the viewer focuses on the dog and the boy and not the river or the background. Very professionally done.
